Start My Song is a free promotional site for songwriters and musicians. You can upload your music whether it’s a set of lyrics, beats, melodies, or a completed demo which is then placed on the site for users to see or hear. 

Each upload gets a date stamp which records the date it was uploaded providing you a legal copywrite on your song.

Your song can now be seen or heard by people all around the world who come to Start My Song looking for new music.  Listeners can rank your song to their liking using the Gold Record Ranking System and the top songs end up in the SMS TOP 30.  Listeners can also further promote your song by pushing songs they like out to their friends via the EMAIL or SHARE THIS buttons included on each song box.

Artist accounts include the ability to upload a picture, provide basic information about you and your music, and provide up to three links to other websites where your music is displayed including MySpace or YouTube.

Artists can also see how many times their songs have been played on Start My Song after logging in.  If you desire, you can also choose to sell your song on sites such as iTunes or Napster through Start My Song’s affiliation with Distribution companies.
