"Two Ships" lyrics
Two Ships
Verse 1 –
Two ships sailing side by side
Across the seven seas.
Wind fills their sails
Flying free.
Living for the journey
Just like you and me.
Dream about tomorrow
Flying free.
Chorus –
Longing for your open arms
And comfort I find there.
The way you whisper in my ear
The softness of your hair.
And every day as we set sail
I say a little prayer.
Thanking God for one more day
And the journey that we share.
Verse 2 –
Two ships on the open sea
Chart a course across the sky.
Wind and waves and tide
Move us along.
Sail into the sunset
Freshness meets the dawn.
Two ships sailing
On and on and on . . .
Chorus –
Instrumental
Chorus
End

About my song
This is a song that I wrote about relationships, particularly the 27 years of marriage my wife and I share together. Love is a journey, not a snapshot or an event; it is hugely dynamic, ever changing, and rich with experience. Like Two Ships traveling the ocean together, subject to tides and wind and waves, we grow deeper in love as we weather each passing day.
