Hip Hop is the soul of the Earth

encoded in verse, a mans life put into words

Dark nights with a spotlight revealing an urge

to know our voices are heard

Take me back to the good ol’ days

hot ass Sun outside so I chill in the shade

Feelin the breeze

Killing time rolling up trees

riding around high trying to duck the police

Rollin deep, as the ocean current

rhymes inserted, to beats freestylin, no real purpose

Usta think in block letters, now I kick it in cursive

amerced in the flow, no need to rehearse it, yo

My crew don’t purchase commercial hits

we do perfect, working small circuit tips

Real Hip Hop, check the workmanship

techniques that few reach cause it hurts they grip

Stop stressing the complexity flexed

I’m wreckin mics with the best

check if u like, but you might get upset reppin the false

trying front and then never evolve

just call it, like you see it

Believe that it’s raw

We are born into the ties that bind us

Some confine

Many remind us where to find love in the blindest state

of escape, home rests in calmness

Ominous wake left from our best mistakes

Kept safe in the beat of a heat, memories scar

but mark the way in a chart read on the stars face

Speckled through this limitless sky

my feet echo the paths beaten toward

Dreams, that let go when we die

Crying out, to all that we were

this pain and laughter etching chapters

to, know our voices are heard

Among these footsteps surrounding in the distance

Each breaths a gift, I put mine to sentences

stretched round the existence, of all that I’ve known

Every poem an escape from a place that I once called home

every breathe I take, I long to give back

through songs and tracks I’m on

Until you can see my reflection in wax
