"Walk Again" lyrics

How old are you

Do you know how old you are?

When you’re feeling blue,

‘Ever wonder you got so far?

When it’s cold outside,

‘Best be cosy beside the fire.

When it’s pouring rain,

Bet you wish you drive a car.

Take those slippers off

Pull your boots on

It’s time to walk again

Throw the door out

Take a leaf out

It’s time to walk again

Oh yeah

It’s time to walk again

If the Sun should shine

‘Go looking for your shades

Best to be cool now

Before the memory dies and fades

About my song

This song is a wake up call for the fifty somethings! Dermott M. Jewell wrote the music for this, I did the lyrics. Another song we’re working on for Good Intentions but this first version is by ‘JJK’ and has Dermott, me and Dermott’s son, Dermott R. Jewell on drums. Dermott M. of course sang many of our great songs back in the eighties and also of course added the soaring lead guitars, what a man!

Good Intentions version released 22nd. July 2010 on ‘Sacred Ground’ E.P.
