"Bye Bye Bin Laden" lyrics
No curtain call
As you slipped into the sea.
Made not as sound
As you settled in the deep.
Thousands died,
While millions still live free.
So long Osama
Bye-Bye Bin Laden
Thousands died, but millions still live free.
What would I say
If I met you face to face?
A gentle people
Tainted by disgrace.
Twin towers fall
Sick smile upon your face.
So long Osama
Bye-bye Bin Laden
Thousands died, but millions still live free.
Sanctuary
Concubines and greed.
Pakistani diplomats
Enabling your deeds.
Profiteers, who looked the other way.
So long Osama
Bye-bye Bin Laden
Thousands died, but millions still live free.
Slip through the darkness
Troops of Navy Seals
Marksman’s bullet found you
Despite your human shield.
Sleep well in hell, sir
Among the living dead.
So long Osama
Bye-bye Bin Laden
Thousands died, but millions still live free.
So long Osama
Bye-bye Bin Laden, thousands died but millions still live free.
About my song
I’m not quite sure how this song popped into my head. It seemed like a patriotic song has been lacking in our nation for a long time; I also thought that our heroic Navy Seals needed more credit and thanks than they have received. This recording is just me and my Gibson flat top. I would love to hear it played by a solid country band with telecaster guitar, fiddles, bass, and a nice peddle steel guitar. Either way, I hope you enjoy it! Tim
