"Love Stop the Rain" lyrics

Love Stop the Rain©2011, Tim Wittman

Hush don’t cry

Tears stream from your eyes.

Please don’t sigh

Clouds clear by and by.

Love, stop the rain.

Love, heal the pain.

Misunderstood

Just took one wrong look.

If you could

Find the answers in a book.

But love, stop the rain

Love, heal the pain.

Try, to explain.

Try hard, to explain.

Fair though the soft winds blow

Sea birds wheel to and fro.

Caught between the ebb and flow

Will I ever know?

So love, stop the rain

Love, heal the pain.

Try, to explain.

Try hard, to explain.

You and me.

Dance among the evergreens.

Feel my heart

Hand in hand from dawn to dark.

Try to explain

Try to explain

Try hard to explain

Love, stop the rain.

Love, heal the pain,

Love, stop the rain.

About my song

Love Stop the Rain was inspired by the book “Hotel on the Corner of Bitter Sweet” by Jamie Ford. The story takes place post Peal Harbor, in China Town, in Seattle Washington. Henry, a little Chinese boy, is comforting his little girlfriend and first love, Keiko, a Japanese girl, as she and her family are preparing to be moved to internment camps in Idaho. This is a song about the bitter sweet portion of love, comforting, consoling, and caring.
