JP Murphey

Biography

If I had to sum it up I would have to say that I am an accomplished musician with a life time of perfecting my musical abilities as a performer and session musician. I have played guitar for groups such as “The Arrangement” and “Murphey’s Law” and have loaned my songwriting abilities and played bass and guitar on the “Bay Area Masters of Rap”, “Jeneay” and “Rastaman” CD’s.  I have performed for audiences that range from thousands to an audience of one and I still love to play just to play. My style crosses multiple music genre’s and I try to compose with a lyrical eloquence and melodic chord phrasing that can be enjoyed by fans from all types musical listening genre’s.  The next logical step was to head into the studio and record for myself so I have ventured out on my own to record some of my original songs in a CD entitled “I’m Running Late” that is due for release early 2012.  The 4 song EP is getting pretty awesome reviews and I am currently in negotiations with the TV and film industry for possible placement in an upcoming project.
