Tony Floyd Kenna

Biography

Tony Floyd Kenna is the Bass player, a founder member of, and one of the songwriters in, Good Intentions (Ireland) and Maggies Farm. Good intentions recently reformed after 25 years and are busy writing/rehearsing with a view to issuing a new Album later this year, the single ‘SACRED GROUND’ was issued in July 2010. Their remastered 80s studio sessions were re-issued in December 2009. Tony both co-writes and writes on his own. Back in the late seventies thru’ to the late eighties Tony was busy as a band member with Good Intentions, Sound Proof, Maggies Farm, Face To Face, The Gravediggers and lots more. In Face To Face Tony co-wrote with Jean O’Sullivan and their Remastered ‘Dreams’ ep was re-issued in October 2009. Behind the scenes he worked in sound engineering and served on the council of IASC (the Irish songwriters association of the time). The other members of the reformed Good Intentions are, Ian Bolton, Kieran Farrell and John O’Grady. Also, past member Dermott Jewell has been writing with the band. You can expect to hear some of the writing colaborations here on ‘Start My Song’ also. While most of the Band’s output will end up on their own records there will be some songs that they hope others might enjoy covering. Tony’s 8 track solo album now on itunes, ‘New Songs’.
