Biography

My name is Tiuana(Tee-a-na) Rogers Iam a inspiring singer/ writer born and raised in Chicago, Illinois. I started singing at Union Missionary Baptist Chruch Choir at the age 8. By the age 12 is when I really wanted to become a singer. I began writing songs and wanted to pursue a singing career, but knew it would be challenging because of my age. I formed a girl group and we started practicing the songs that I wrote, and dance routine. I wanted us to be girl groups like Voices, TLC, Xscape an may more. The girls in the group wasnt as serious as I was but we were young so I couldnt expect alot. I on the other hand was determine to make my dream come true one day. I started training my voice by listening to my favorite idol “Toni Braxton”. I love her songs and her stlye of singing and wanted so much to be like her. I wanted to this so bad that I would write songs everyday calling places to do audition. Life took a dramatic change for me and I kinda gave up singing. But even though life was going down hill for me I always turned to music. I met a good friend who shared the same passion as me and we started singing together. So things started looking good for me by the age 16 me and my friend had a chance to go sing in front of Jive Records. We were so excited about going but once again something happen and interferred with us going. That really upsetted me and hurted to the point I just didnt want to sing anymore. I then turned to modeling and acting but for some reason always kept singing in the back of my mind. While doing modeling gigs and acting roles in my city, I started back writing music in 2008. I devoted all my time whenever I can to writing praying one day I would be able to record one day in a studio. My dream finally came true I was able to record one of my songs “Where My” at Black Apple Studios in May of 2010. It was great experience for me that I got a chance to perform at a MMA Event in Aurora, ILL Sept 11, 2010. I knew then that singing was for me, I have been influence by Toni Braxton, Mary J. Blige, , Monica, Beyonce, Brandy Keyshia Coles and many more. I want stop and cant stop until the world has been introduce to “Tiuana”
