Biography

The first time I ever penned a song it was on the Mario Paint music creator when I was about 14. As ridiculous as it may sound, that opened the door for my music writing. 

My dad, an accomplished multi-instrumentalist, had almost everything music-related lying around the house except for a drum set. This was the instrument I chose to pursue a relationship with while attempting to teach myself to play a little bit of everything I found around the house.

When I was 16 I recorded my first album on 20 year-old equipment with very poor guitar, keyboard, and bass knowledge. However, it was the programming that I was beginning to fall in love with. As of today I’ve recorded about 300 songs, released about 23 albums on CD’s or tapes to very limited audiences, and have put both of my music projects (Velveteen Vaccine and Ares Descending) under the umbrella of an independent record label I’m trying to breathe life into called The Post Apocalyptic Cowboys Republic.

When people ask me if I have a favorite song, I tell them that I’m working on it. I think that if I’ve already written my best music, then it’s all downhill from here. I"m still searching for the top of the mountain.
